Bench America

I read a while back that Big Gene and Scott Mendelson would be at bench America. I am pretty sure they weren't there, so did I read something that was bogus? It would have been cool to see them there.

Things change at the last minute all the time as far as stuff like that. I guy might get sick, have a small injury, not feel 100% whatever. Guys will claim that they are going somewhere to lift and some times things just fall through. Happens.

It stinks though because I would say that had they showed, I think all of my favorite big benchers would have been at one meet, the way it should be once a year. I think if someone could generate a once a year pot of say $100,000, the sport would change drastically forever. By the way, have you guys seen that junior Mike Womack. That guys is a beast. He was at Bench America and did well. It amazes me that someone who looks soft could be so strong.
