No soreness from ME bench day?

Yesterday I did 2-board presses for sets of 3 working up to my 1RM. I did 10 sets total (6 x 3reps, 4x1rep). My problem is that I don't feel sore today in my chest area. Why is this? Everything else hurts today that I worked except for my chest. Any ideas would be great.

I get very little sorenes in my chest from westside training, I only get it the weeks I have db presses.

But dont worry my chest has gotten better even thou I havent been sore anything.

And the board press puts more stress on triceps then the chest, remember that in the bench the trics are doing more work then the chest.

I'm with Johan, soreness post-workout isn't a reliable indicator of anything. Some people get extreme soreness simply because they didn't adequetly nourish themselves after lifting.

If you are worried about chest development while on westside make sure you have db presses or incline db presses on your DE bench day.

Actually johan I'm main focus is on gaining strength. Not to worried about physique for now. This is my first week so I'll be looking into the DB presses in a couple.

Yes and no. I'm actually incorporating some of the Tate ideas with the sample workout's by Bob Youngs. I'm putting everything into an excel file so when I'm done I'll be able to show other people what I did and what the results were.

    What program are you on?
