Just go in tryin to set PRs, thats what its all about. Forget about all that other crap like dieting and just go in and have fun and shoot for some big #'s. Thats all that matters in powerlifting, if you're not sure, just go check out a meet.
I just got back from a competition in Lansdale, Pa on Sunday. If you weigh 210 you would be in the 220lb weight class. That's a pretty hard class. The winner of that class put up 425lbs but he was way ahead of the rest of the competition in the class. The guy that took second put up 385lbs, which is average. If you can do more than these guys stay in the class and put on another 10lbs. If not lose 12lbs and compete in the 198. That class in usually easier. 2nd and 3rd in that class only put up 325lbs and 305lbs. Good luck.Quote:

If you push 365 put the weight on and go for the big numbers. With 10lbs and hard training you should easily move up 20-30lbs on the max. Those # would be good enough for top three most of the time.Quote:
