Even with today's standards he would look huge. I can't really say that yates or coleman is more impressive. Can you?
Perhaps he just hated dieting? Perhaps he was afraid to be compared with others?
No one is really sure why he would never compete...it just is a real shame we never saw what he could have done going against Haney and Yates.Quote:

vic was no doubt a monster. but, he couldnt have compared to haney or yates. it takes alot more than sheer size to be the best.
I understand what you mean BigKev, and I think that was what he lacked and he knew it. *It* is what drove those men and drives Ronnie Coleman on to their greatness,Quote:

from 1992 (unpublished photo)
Well I personaly prefer his physique over colemans, vic has nice shapes and no gh gut. And yates only looked better his first couple of olympia wins before he got to massive and developed a little gut.
He doesnt look like a earli version of kovas to me it looks like he has good shapes and good mass and everything, I bet he would have been a top contender.

Vic's fame started before the early 80s. I have a 87 or 88 vid where he has quite the same mass than on the pics posted.
He has a very special bodytype that is not often see on bodybuilding stages, short limbs and very large bone structure, a bit like a bigger and more symetrical black eddie robinson.
I think he built his mass without using insane drugs quantities like the post 92 yates and todays pro. He looks more like a freak of nature to me.
anyone know the size of his gunz ?
Vic was ahead of his time in the 80s, but he has since been surpassed by the likes of Yates, Coleman, Nasser et al.
He actually earned his pro card by competing in (and winning) the 1992 Nigerian Championships. Vic's father is Nigerian, and so Vic was eligible to compete as a Nigerian citizen.
I think that Weider got tired of waiting for him to compete against real opposition (i.e., in the IFBB), and that's why he is no longer getting any publicity.
Vic is also famous for making outrageous statements about his measurements and caloric intake. For instance, he has claimed to weigh as much as 360lbs at 5'9" and eat 20000+ calories a day. Of course, this is total nonsense.

Vic has always had insane arm and lower body development, but in my view they overpower his delts and torso. He has also never really approached true contest condition.
another one...check out the legs!
another...
He is massive. True statement about the delts. Plus he doesn't have the cuts you see a lot of the pros with. Also I don't see any GH gut in any of the pics.
ronnie would wipe the floor with victor , bodypart for bodypart he can't even compare to a guy like chris cormier ... he is imo a wasted talent all talk ... no walk....
There is some hilarious fiction on Vic's personal web site. I'm not talking about exaggerated measurements, but Vic-penned stories.Quote:

And then there's the full-frontal nudity...
