how do you mix in protein powder into your food

How do you mix in powder into your food, say oatmeal for example.
Do you just pour the powder in and stir it till it dissolves? Or do you dissolve in water first and add the solution to the food?

Make the oatmeal first with extra water, then let cool for a few minutes and stir in the protein. You can use the protein in everything from muffins to pancakes...

Well I have mixed my protein powders in oatmeal, and for kicks I have even cooked it in different reciepes. I do think though that most of the protien powders on the market will denature at high temperatures in a oven and therfore are worthless for counting as protien intake in one's diet.
