    Everyday supplements

I made a thread recently about whether or not Tribulus can be taken on a daily basis, year round. I got a lot of good feedback stating that it can. I was curious as to what the bros (or anyone else for that matter) take on an everyday basis. For example, what vitamins, supplements, sex enhancers, testosterone boosters or anything else they take daily. Currently I take a multi-vitamin, trib, and clomid and nolva for my pct.

I am starting my first cycle, I have been taking Fish oil for years but for completely different reasons, I noticed u take them, what purpose do they serve? I am also taking Multi, Vit C, Vit E, L Arginine, Biotin, B-6 and Folic Acid. Does this sound like a good combination?

I DHEA similar to tribulus? I dont know too much about it, but from what I hear, it has worse side effects than trib and shouldnt be taken continuously year round. True or not?

Also, what is L-Arginine used for?

I wouldnt really worry about DHEA, IMO its garbage. L-Arganine is in most protein powders if you have a look at the content label. arganine is a protein amino acid

I use fish oil for the fatty acids in it, good for joints as well. I've been using Animal Pak as a multi, which has many vitamins in it already. Biotin and B6 are great for you as well. Watch ur intake of l-arginine tho... anything over 2000mg a day will offset the metabolism of the other amino acids

Tribex:Any signs that the liver tabs work for you? I have friends who swear by them but they take them by the handful and I'm not sure that their gains aren't just due to placebo effect.

Dhea worked well for me. The key is to have your blood checked. I did started at 25mg every other day. Blood checked again and it went up to normal levels 120 points-You also want to get a good source, because you can be ingesting garbage

my blood work also entails test, estrogen and igf-1

Am I getting the arganine from anything else other than my protein powder? And what is the typical amount of Folic Acid I should take?

I heard L-arginine is good for blood flow, as it dilates the blood vessels. But you have to be careful if you use it with Viagra because the combination of the two could cause your blood pressure to dip to dangerous levels.

Nothing. I haven't found that the evidence of benefits justifies the price.

Thanks. I keep pressing them for their take on what liver pills are doing for them but....My take is they help keep a positive nitrogen balance but I am not even sure that it is what they do.

I took this from Animalpak.com, not perfect but does give insight as to use of liver tabs...

"So what's so good about liver? For starters, many have called liver the most perfect food. It's rich in amino acids, vitamins, minerals, nucleic acids, lipotropics, antioxidants, cytochrome P450 (an enzyme involved in steroid production and detoxification), and other important nutrients. Liver has been used by bodybuilders and powerlifters for decades to increase strength, enhance appetites, reduce recovery times and fatigue, support liver function, and detoxify the body. It's also an effective blood builder. Liver helps increase red blood cell count. Plus, it's one of the best sources of heme iron.

Desiccated liver contain heme iron, one of the most bioavailable forms around. Synthetic or elemental iron can lead to overdosing. Overdosing is far less likely with natural iron. With non-heme iron, you might expect an absorption rate of 1-3%. With heme iron, you could expect 35% absorption or more. Liver tabs can also exert "hematinic activity" – the ability of a substance to improve the quality of the blood, including the hemoglobin level and the number of erythrocytes. That's why liver has been called a "blood builder".

All this is important because blood is what delivers oxygen and nutrients to your working muscles. If you got a problem with iron and blood, it can all lead to to fatigue, decreased energy levels, and reduced physical performance. Studies have clearly shown that even slight iron-deficiency can lead to a reduced work capacity.

Liver also contains nucleic acids. For years, people thought the body could make enough nucleic acids via de novo nucleotide synthetic pathways. Under certain circumstances, this ain't the case. There are times when the body needs more: when the body is undergoing rapid growth, limited food supply, and metabolic stress. "
