It is cool, but my understanding is (going from memory):
1. No study was ever done at Cambridge. That detail was added later after this internet classic started circulating.
2. About a third of the words are spelled correctly, which allows us to help interpret the other words.
3. They often transpose letters rather than truly scrambling them.
If our brains were as good as this tricky email suggest, I would be a lot better at Scrabble.
