Gains on a first time good diet
So I have been reading a bunch about diet and I have never had a good one before. I weigh 150, height is 5'10", and my body fat is probably like 5%. Oh and I am 22. So if I started a good diet for gaining mass what kind of gains should I expect? How quickly should I expect them? I was thinking about taking steroids but after watching those seminar videos in the sticky I am thinking I could make some serious gains just by dieting properly.

Shoot for 6 meals per day
For you, with an LBM of approx 140 pounds. 225 grams of protein per day, split evenly in all you 6 meals
You'll need 350 grams of carbs per day, split evenly with all your meals
Healthy fats: 40 grams per day coming from fish oil gel caps, olive oil, walnut oil, almond oil ect

What are some good carbs to take? Anyone have a good example diet for a guys like me? I don't know anything about food.

100% Whole wheat pastas/breads, brown rice, yams, sweet potatoes, oats...

Meal 1:
10 egg whites
80 gram oatmeal (dry weight)
6 fish oil gel caps
Meal 2
6 oz chicken
7.5 oz cooked sweet potato
1 table spoon olive oil
Meal 3
6 oz chicken, turkey or beef
175 grams cooked barley
1 table spoon almond oil
Meal 4
Repeat meal 3 , but replace barley with 175 grams cooked lentils
Meal 5
Repeat meal # 2
Meal 6
6 oz beef or chicken
300 grams strawberries/blueberries
Salad with 1 tablespoon olive oil

I am VERY dedicated. I have thrown out all of the trash food that I had before. Assuming I pick up this diet and not cheat and I ALSO took steroids at the same time, what harm would there be in that?

I figured but hey I am new to this. I am curious as the answer to my question though. Is there any reason not to start steroids AND diet right now? I know there is the genetic potential thing, but I am not looking to be huge. If I could gain 30 more pounds I would be VERY happy with that. I figure maybe 15 from steroids and then another 15 a few months after the cycle. Is that doable? By the way I would be taking Sustanon 250 for 10 weeks.

I know I can be dedicated to the diet. And this summer is probably the only time in my life where I will be able to do a cycle just due to my job and fiance (She will be gone for the rest of the summer). Any idea what kind of gain Sustanon would give me?

Blue its because you arent close to having maximised your potential according to your stats. That is what everyone will tell you. PINN took the time to post a sample diet, you can work with that. I mean, literally, there is no reason that you cant get to 180-190 assuming there is no medical or budgetary reasons. Remember AAS + bad diet will yeild bad results. AT least start by mastering your diet, then move forward
