Advice with squats
Hi Guy's. I am looking to build my upper leg mass as it has always been a neglected area.I did not post this in the lifting techniques section as I think would get better advice here. I am looking to build muscle but I really want to learn to squat big. At 6ft 4ins I am a little unsure of how my stance should be. I am a little unsure if my stance for doing squats is different for bodybuilding to power lifting.

Wide! Toes pointed slightly outward. Also, make sure not to squat in any type of athletic/running shoe when going heavy. Use flat-soled shoes (Chucks) or go barefoot.

Running/cross training type shoes have soles that aren't flat, and contain materials that compress and move with shifting weight. Under heavy weight, this could cause you to roll your ankle...and you can guess the rest. Flat soles or barefoot is the way to go. Flat soles also help with getting a better base on the ground.

If you don't like chuck taylors believe it or not I use vans skate shoes. Same flat sole concept.
