Adequan
Adequan : POLYSULFATED GLYCOSAMINOGLYCAN. I Train performance horses for a living . And this stuff is like a miracle drug for arthritis and joint pain. My vet was out checking a horse and he was telling me he takes it monthly and it has completly changed his life. without it he would be on a walker because of degenerative arthritis and joint pain. He has no joint pain at all now. My question is : Do ya'll have any experiance with this medicine. It seems like something that would be safe to use and it rebuilds cartlidge and fluid in the joints. My vet is coming back out and I am gonna really hit him with Questions....

keep me posted. I have bad arthritis in my knee and wrist ever since my surgeries (I hate astroturf).
Let me see if I understand this. Your vet uses it on horses, and has used it to treat his own arthritis?

yes. He uses it on himself and says he has no joint pain and it is long lasting. I asked another freind of mine that is in the buisness of selling Vetinary supplies. And he told me that his mom was on a cane and almost an a walker. Because of joint pain. And back pain. He started her on adiquan and she now goes dancing every weekend.and has never picked up her cane since

it is a prescription , but not a controlled substance. Therefore it is easy to get. I am gonna pick some up and read the insert and see what a dasage would be. I personally know two people that is on it and I am going to see if they will give more info on peronal use. Has anyone in our lifestyle used it??

I have been thinking along the same lines as you. I have done 6 mo 2 ius of GH and currently 3 mo. into another 6 mo. of GH. I may do a year this time. I can't say the GH is doing that much, as far as repair.
And of course, one of the sides of GH is joint pain.
I just obtained a RX for my dog from My Vet. for Adequan and will give it a try soon. I will do it at 2MG per lb of body wt. twice a week for 5 weeks.
So in my case it will be
400 MG twice a week> FOR 5 weeks
I am 45 with moderate Arthritis and have had one knee and two sholder surgery’s.
Before a w/o my regain is 2 Altrum or one loratab . Both Kidney and liver killers in the long term....NOT TO MENTION THE CHEM> DEPENDENCY>.
GOOD LUCK AND WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM SOME THAT HAVE EXPERANCE WITH Adequan

There was a guy here "Big N" who i believe used it a while ago.. with great results.
I was thinking about using it in my offseason.
Never got around to it tho.. The thought of more ED injections is daunting

It only requires 2 shots a week. You can use a small gauge needle, it is not oil based. 2 mg per lb body wt. 2 times a week for 4-5 weeks.
Example if your weight is 200 you take 400mg twice a week.

From what I gathered, I dont see how it WOULDNT work for any ligament/tendon/joint injuries to an extent. It seems to heal every aspect of them. I had ehard "It wont do anything for ligaments because its for joints" but upon researchin gthis further, I found that it rebuilds cartilage and collagen which tendons and ligaments are primarily comprised of.
Who else has had experience with this substance?

I will post my first log in this fourm as well.
I am 45 with moderate arthritis in fingers, wrist, sholders, knees and lower back. I also suffer form tennis elbow, or as the guys at work call it (Carpel Jack Syndrome) "This may be the case" with 650mg test a week. It is kind of nice waking up with a tool so hard a cat can’t scratch it.
I have just started my 2nd 6 mo cycle of low dose GH, Any more then 2 ius and my wrist hurts like a MOFU. And am currently 6 weeks into a 14week Test only cycle .
I work second shift as a Flight Line Mechanic, so my workouts are in the morning. My regimen after waking is 2 Altrum 4 Ibuprofen two cups coffee and a Loratab 30 minutes before leaving for the Gym. And of course a Shot of No Xplode.
Keep in mind," this old bastard that; just an hour and half ago, hobbled to the bathroom like a 60 year old for his morning Pi** . Is now going to Gym and pumping iron with the best of them.
OK*** NOW to the adequan log
Yesterday I started adequan/canine @ 200mg 2 X week for 4 weeks.
My first injection was 2 cc in the upper Quad. Some burning and mild pain for an hour. Very slight soreness in the inj site this morning.
No sides as of yet. However, this morning I did not feel as stiff as usual.
"BUT!!, I MUST CAUTION ANYONE ONE WHO HAS THIN BLOOD NOT TO START ADEQUAN."
I am prone to small cuts and nicks in my line of work. Last night I had two small cuts on my fingers. I was bleeding like a stuck Hog and had a hell of a time getting it to stop.
I will report more as improvement or sides occur
