Huge for who...and why? Coach K going to LA is no bigger than it was for Phil Jackson to go there....and although i totally respect Coach K's coaching skills and the job he would do in the NBA i do NOT think it gives the lakers the best coach in the NBA and i dont think you can automatically put him in the catagory w/ the larry browns, phil jacksons of the world

And not to go too far off topic, i think that Petino is still a better coach than coach K, and a lot of previous college coaches coming to the nba didnt fare well since they were put into situations w/ bottom of the league teams...jay bilas was on espn radio speaking of this and made some very good points...he is much in favor of college coaches moving to the nba, and does think there is only success awaiting him.
I also think the 'new nba' w/ younger players and players that should of been in college helps Coach K relate and coach better....but lets not forget he did coach the original Dream Team, and does stay in contact w/ all those players, so does have good understanding of what NBA players are like., and the game.

I watch very little NBA and I couldn't care less from that perspective.
