Make the best basketball team ever
Alot of tough decisions, but this would be mine..I think Jordan is the only player where you can't make an argument for somebody else.
1) Stockton
2) Jordan
3) Magic
4) Bird
5) Shaq

2/5 ain't bad. Plus..you need them, what they lack in physical athleticism, they make up for by knowing the game better and are more fundamentally sound.

speaking of Magic..what happened to him having AIDS? I think the whole thing was a publicity stunt for the AIDS foundation of America.

This is the team I would pick to win championships. All have spend multiple years on the all defensive first or second teams, all unselfish on the court and proven winners.
Jason Kidd - Pure point guard
Michael Jordan - Scorer
Larry Bird - Shooter
Ben Wallace - Rebounds
Hakeem Olajuwon - Post player

OK this may not be the team with the best PLAYERS of all time, but it will be the team that works the best together:
You need a PG that draws double teams so he can find his big guys soooo
PG- Magic Johnson
SG- Reggie Miller (in his prime)
You need a combo small forward, thats the position where you gotta have it all so:
SF- Scottie Pippen
PF - Larry Bird
C- Patrick Ewing
WHY IT WORKS:
-Patrick is the best jumpshooting center of all-time, PLUS he's one of the best post players ever, and his career rebounding was at 10 a game. He could also pass out of the double team.
-Larry Bird was a huge problem at PF, what kind of power forward shoots threes? Besides dirk... Larry will draw the big men away from the inside, if they dont go to guard him...he's money anyway.
-Scottie Pippen, total package, passes like a point guard and is athletic. You always need a slasher.
-Reggie Miller, best shooter EVER. Since all the guys on the team can pass except reggie, you draw a double team, and find this guy and thats 3 points.
-Magic Johnson is the ultimate mismatch...a 6'10 point guard? Alright no regular PG can defend this guy, so therefore other players on the court need to come in to help OR they switch (ex: power forward might come out to guard him and let the point guard switch) so theres always a mismatch or an open man and Magic can find em...
I just made the ultimate team, nobodyyyyyyyyyy can beat this lineup.

Why do you guys all lick Shaq's nuts? I think you guys don't have a good enough memory or you just didn't see the big men in the 90's play. Check out those retro games on nba tv if you can when Olajuwon, Ewing, and Robinson are in their primes. Their down low skills blow shaq's out of the water. They are also way better free throw shooters.
pg-magic
sg-jordan
sf-bird
pf-malone
c-olajuwon
my opinion anyway

Center: The dream not shaq, down the strech he will be a liability(even though I love the guy)
Power forward: Tim duncan, besides karl and charles best pf of all time. In due time he will be the best pf of all time.
Small forward: It would be a racial issue If I didn't put bird in there. He deserves it! Larry bird.
Shooting gaurd: Definately mike. This is not because he is the best player of all time, the reason I picked him is cos he absolutely refuses to lose. He has a heart of a champion, can't go wrong with a guy like that on your team.
Point gaurd: This was very though to choose but I have to do it. Either magic or king James. I'm going Lebron only because he is more athletic than magic was and he passes like him. Sorround him with a bunch of respected vets and he will be even more lethal.
I need a sixth man. The reason I picked this guy is because of his heart always the smallest guy on the court but the guy with the biggest heart and that would be my boy AI(iverson). Always gets his crappy ass team to the playoffs. This is my team and all the others are pretenders.

Shaq is a must for best team of all time. He is like 35 and still unstobbable. You put him with another great player you win. KOBE+SHAQ=3championships WADE+SHAQ=future championships. Even when someone who is 6inches taller on him cough cough (YAO) he still scores at will.
