Any and all canadians: CFL season rapidly approaching
To all the Canadian and American CFL fans, all CFL training camps are about 2 month away from opening, lets get some pre season predictions from ya'll...I'm saying the Calgary Stampeders (Where NFL superstar Jeff Garcia BECAME a star!!!) are gonna be at the big show in November (Grey Cup) and wax the floor with whoever wins the east. Football is a passion of mine and I think it kicks ass to see all the pride everyone has for their favorite teams, so lets hear it Canadians......

The Grey Cup is in Edmonton this year, so everyone can stay at my place!

Even though we don't get to see too much CFL here in the States, from what I have seen it's a great game and it's FOOTBALL. You guys know me well enough by now to know I wish I could see those games.
Good luck to everyone's favorite team and go get some records this year

Speaking of the CFL, is Clemson Quarterback Woodrow "Woody"
Danztler going to be playing up there? Last I heard, he was pretty
defiant in his intentions to keep playing QB (rather than moving to
RB or WR where the NFL *might* have considering giving him a
look). Does anyone know if he was drafted? If not, the CFL would
be a fun place for him to grow as a player.

I dont believe that he has signed with any CFL club to date. Interestingly enough former Kansas State QB Micheal Bishop has chosen to play, at least for now in the CFL, after alot of talk, Calgary dealt his rights to Toronto. Toronto was actually trying to pick up Nebraska's Eric Crouch, it would have been awesome if he would have came to the CFL, cause he got drafted in what the 4th or 5th round. Hey Canes, it looks like Miam's starting Center from this past Year, Romberg is intent on playing in the CFL.......great to see more quality talent coming to play OUR kick ass brand of football

What I have seen in the past of CFL football I have enjoyed it, and I just wish we were able to see a lot more of it here in the States.
Football is football, whether its CFL, NCAA or NFL rules, and I love it !
Hey Fullback57 (or anyone else) can you tell me more about Canadian College Footbal ? What are the best teams ?
Also do you have any websites or links for CFL teams ?Last edited by Canes4Ever; 05-12-2002 at 01:17 PM.

Interestingly enough Romberg played a year in the CJFL (Canadian Junior Football League) for the Windsor AKO Fratmen before he went to Miami. Canadian College football is slowly but surely gaining alot more recognition in Canada, but still not as much as it deserves. The Western division of the CIAU should be very tough this year and bring home the Vanier Cup (National Championship) though the east will be extremely tough as well. I'd check out www.cfl.ca, www.stampeders.com, www.ciau.ca.......all are very good sites with tons of great info
