    QB's on fire

What a performance by a few QB's over Wildcard weekend....Pennington looked really good, Maddox played very well, Vick...enough said, Garcia played one of his best games since taking over the helm for the 49ers. What QB out of the teams remaining is playing the best football right now??.......my vote would have to go to either Vick or Garcia, then Chad Pennington.....

What the F. What about Kerry Collins for the NY football giants. 3rd in the league for passing yards, and also just the rest of his stats he had a real good yr. best yr of his career.

I would have to go with Chad though, he is very very smart. I like the Jets this weekend.

I'd have to go with Pennington as well.

    B. Johnson(even though not playing in the wild card) is doing great to. Missed a few games but didn't he finish the season with only 1 interception.

Brad Johnson sucks. Gruden just has him in a good offense that's easy for him to run.

Good offense thats funny. IT's their D that wins games bro.

Lets have a look at the numbers
    26th-3rd down %
    26th-yrds per play
    23rd-yrds per game
    23rd-first downs per game
    6th- 4th down %(Only 9 attempts)
And finally. When 3rd and over 7yds to go, they are 26%-By far the worst percentage in the NFL.

    The offense just aint there.

    Johnson's stats
    62.3% comp.
    3049 yrds(in 13 games)
22 TDs 6int(don't know where I got 1 from but that ratio is better than most this year)
Sacked 21 times(not really a stat in his favor or against but shows pressure he had to deal with)
    Qb rating- 92.9

Now I'd say Johnson did pretty well on such an abismal offense.

That offense is the reason they won't be Bowl bound.

Something to mention about the Bucs is that they have the top ranked passing defense which is SF's primary way of moving the ball. They may get by San Fran but the Eagles they cannot beat.

Maybe he has something to do with the "abysmal" offense you talk about. Their backs and receivers are definitely up to par. My point was- and the stats from last year compared to this year clearly back me on this one, not you- that the only reason Johnson is even somewhat successful is because of Gruden. Gruden has him playing within his means, not throwing many deep balls, lots of short, quick passes.

Not this year. mariucci loves to run, and Hearst and Barlow are pretty good. Not to mention Garcia's scrambling. I still think the Bucs will stop them. We'll see.
