    Did carter do the right thing by stepping aside for Jordan????

    what do you guys think
    do you think vince wanted to give up his spot or was forced
    and was it the right move
    afterall he was voted by the fans to start

    me personally as a fan i would like to have seen him start
    if i watch the all star game i wanna see a show of dunks and all that fire these young guys have.but i could see his dillema jordan did a lot for basketball but the all star game is for fans

    what do you guys think

    I think the whole situation is strange. First Carter said that he was not going to step aside for Jordan then he did. I think the NBA stepped in on this one.

    I think the reality is that Carter realized the backlash in the media he would take for not allowing Air to start. The problem is he did it so late that now people question his motive. A no win for him and it takes away from what should be the NBA's showcase game. I used to enjoy basketball a whole lot more when it seemed like a game and not a business (i.e. the NBA in 80's and up through the mid 90's).

    The fans voted on it, they didnt want to see Jordan start. Vince should of held his ground.

    today, Vcarter is much better than MJ, and might surpass him, who knows, but MJ is washed up, much like marino, let go, and have some dignity.
