Thumbs down blood in pee, ouch

A bit of a serious matter on my hands, and gave me a pretty good scare as well. I’ll give you the basic rundown of what happened… hopefully someone knows something about this stuff.

I was taking my 1st piss of the day, started going but nothing came out for a second, then a rush of pain and the urine “burst through” with a bit of a red tint to it and I pissed, it hurt a little bit throughout the duration. When I finished I looked to see what the hell had happened and a couple drops of blood dribbled out. That was pretty much the extent of it and other than that I am fine, besides being scared to take another piss.

    Other things you should know:
It kinda felt like when you have sex the night before and get up in the morning to take a piss and the seamen/vaginal fluid has dried on your dick so you piss in 30 diff. directions and takes a second for the piss to actually come out.
This was worse than that, it just felt more intense/ not to mention the blood almost made me faint.
-I jerked off this morning and hadn’t pissed until that point, I’m thinking that could have something to do w/ it
-I had unprotected sex on Friday night, Saturday was fine in terms of peeing so, I don’t know, just trying to give all the info that might be pertinent. What should I do? See the doc if it doesn’t get better? Cut it off? Anyway, let me know what you guys think.

chlamydia is very common to catch and can be cured. but the stinging will not go away until you get some medicine.

    hopefully that's the case....

Go to the doc. I had this one from cycling. So it could be an injury, it could be a kidney infection or something more serious like an STD. When I went to the doc they said it was from being on the bike to much, and to give it a rest, but the female DR. still wanted to do a prostate exam... She got was she deserved when she pulled her finger out..

Also, another possible option, is that you have kidney stone.

just go to a doc right away. None of us are doctors here, you just need to talk to a professional. That sounds scary bro. Good luck to you.

get to the doctor right now!!!! blood in urine can suggest an STD or possibly an infection. it is better to get this checked because it mightnt be either of these things. im not trying to frighten you bro, but i know a lot about this stuff. blood in your piss can also be an early sign of various cancers- prostate cancer, urethral cancer, pretty much things to do with that area.

get this checked immediately, do not wait and see if it goes away!

good call guys, to the doc’s and done.
it appears that if you dont urinate regularly during the day something like this can happen. Apparently what happened was there is a fluid that surrounds the seamen, this can sometimes stay inside the penis (usually when you take a piss it is excreted) and “harden” and cause a blockage. This is what happened in my case, when the piss burst through the “wall” it caused a small tear on the bottom of my urethral opening, due to the force of the urine itself, the volume at which the piss came out was more than my hole could bear, hence the tear. So now I just have to be sure that the wound hears properly and to not have sex w/ anyone or myself for a week, which is going to be tough, at least w/ myself. Thanks for all of your replies and I’m glad as hell you were all wrong about the std.

Due to the severe lack of free time I have had lately, I have been unable to attend this board as much as I would have wished. Regardless, I had a free moment and noticed this post, which I felt deserved a response.

Blood (hematuria) in the urine is something that should never be taken mildly. Years ago, I remember my close friend who was an avid runner came to me with complaints of noticing slight blood in his urine. Commonly, runners get this syndrome (which is completely benign), so I simply told him not to worry, that if it goes away, he need not worry. Well, a few months ago the blood in his urine came back, and after the work up, he was found to have carcinoma (cancer) of the bladder.

Due to my naivety, my close friend now must undergo something more drastic then would hae been needed otherwise. Through this, I hope you realize that the only real option you have is to seek medical advice.
