Retin-A for stretch marks?
My dermatologist perscribed me Defferin for my Foliculitis (looks like acne but it is an infection of the hair folicles) and Rentin-A for my stretch marks. When I read the enclouser of the Retin-A, it says it's for acne. In no place does it talk about what it can do for strecth marks. My question is 'does this stuff work on stretch marks?' Has anyone used this before and had any results fading stretch marks?

Let me know how the Defferin works for you, i get folicutis when on heavy cycle, not so bad i have to go to doc, but wouldn't mind clearing it up when on.

There's a product out there called "Mothers Helper" that's designed for pregnant woman's stretch marks....It's supposed to work pretty well
I think all these products will do is just fade them - not sure if any actually get rid of them. Tanning also helps!

Retin A peels the skin and enhances the production of collagen. Yes, it can reduce the appearance of the stretch marks. You should buy the highest strength. It was originally prescribed for acne, but later it was discovered that it reduces the fine lines. You should avoid sun when using it and use high % sun screen cream.
Hope this helps

So, would it tighten loose skin also?

You would think so if it enhances the production of collagen.

Yes, Retin A will tighten loose skin, but you have to use it religiously every night. You need to wash you skin with soap, dry it well, wait 20 min. and then put on thin layer of Retin A. Your skin will be sun sensitive, use god sun protection. This might be a litlle expensive, you'll need to buy a generic brand of Retin A.
Here ara some sites that sell Retin A
inhousedrugstore.com
Medsmex.com
www.esentialdayspa.com
I haven't tried them my self, but I have great results of using Retin A on my face. For the loose skin you might try Nivea Q 10 body lotion, or ROC celulite retinol body lotion. Retinol is the lightest version of Retin A.
Both are cheaper.
