Question Saw Palmetto and hair loss

Can saw palmetto help combat hair loss while on a cycle?. If so how much would you need to take for it to be effective?.

IMO finasteride is a lot more effective

Never heard of saw palmetto for hair loss. I would only put my money into propecia or rogaine

Agreed. Rogain(Minoxidil), finasteride, Nizoral Shampoo and Spiro are the way to go. Saw Palmetto works for the prostate but know one is sure how well it works for hair loss, if it all.

I've seen some guys make great improvments in their hair quality with the above items but the hair loss should be caught early to gets the best benefits from the drugs.

I started using them 3 months ago and my hair has also improved in density and overall quality.

Early detection is key since there is nothing around to rebuild a lost hairline except for surgery or rugs. Propecia/proscar - 5% minoxdil 2times per day, and Nizoral shampoo 4 times a week is about the best thing going out there and should stop hair loss in its tracks. If that doesn't do it for you and you want to see if more dht blocking will help or get some good regrowth then move from proscar/propecia to avodart. I would not waste time with saw palmetto. If you start any regimine give it a good 6 months and up to a year before you evaluate the results. It takes time for any regrowth you may get.

    I would say 150-160mg twice a day.
