blackhead questions

during the end of my cycle and throught pct, i've developed really bad body acne. some whiteheads, moderate red bumps, but the main problem is TONS of blackheads. if you brush your hand across my back/chest, it feels like sandpaper because there are so many of them. in my chest/back region, EVERY pore is a blackhead...=(

the weird thing is that i don't have any acne on my face...is this normal?

is there any medication i can get on to permenantly get rid of them? or even temporarily (till my body's hormones are normal again)?

and they will go away in time , right? it wasn't like this before i went on cycle...even as a teenager.

any medication i can take on cycle to not have this happen? if they go away while off cycle, i guess i can stop the medication then...

u can call a dermatoligist but i would just continue to wash your back real good...if its in little places..
biore strips are great...and they make a little tool that is made to pop them punks out of your skin real quick and painless.....call the pharmacy and see if they have it..and most girls like ridding their man of those things..

ive been using some of that exfoliating scrub.....it seems to help quite a bit. That and two showers a day and mine seems to have leveled out quite a bit.

why is that?? my girl absolutely loves going to town on my back and chest. and now that i think about it, my ex liked doing it also. and i have another female friend who's all about giving me bacials (like a facial for your back).

im the same way...im middle of test, no acne anywhere except was horrible on back about week ago...used neutragena body acne wash and hit the tanning bed and now is under control...(mine wasnt blackheads though)...

a product that contains a betahydroxy acid, namely 'salicylic acid' should help diminish them....a good inexpensive one is from clearasil..it's their daily moisturizer for the face...a little over three bucks at walmart, i have used it on my chest and arms and get good results...if you try it , let me know how it works for you

ok, here's and update. my "blackhead problem" has exploded into a full on nasty acne problem. i've been using salicylic acid for 3+ weeks now. the blackheads are less and not as bad, but i have TERRIBLE acne. big red lumps all over my chest and back, often infected, bleeding, and full of puss.

this is nuts. i've been off cycle for 2 months now. the skin on my chest has always been clear as crystal, but now its HORRIBLE...i honestly get sick when looking at myself in the mirror...=( not only are they big and disgusting, they are PAINFUL also...=( i'm embarrassed to take my shirt off infront of my gf. i have to see a dematologist...this is getting too depressing...=(

p.s. how come i don't see bodybuilders, who take tons more roids than i do, with acne problems?

i wouldn't pick or poke at them until you know what they are......biore strips could actually exacerbate the problem by possibly pulling off layers of skin and causing them to ooze more or get infected(as far as the acne goes)...do you shave your chest/back? just wondering if it might be some kind of ingrown hairs........definitely get yourself to a doctor....maybe lay off the salicylic acid and see if you are just sensitive to it as well....though it does have anti irritant properties that doesnt matter if someone is really sensitive...

no its not ingrown hairs, i don't shave my chest. i'll get the gf to take pics this weekend and i'll post em for yall. i'd kinda like to know if this is "normal" for some roid users. to me, it seems unusually bad...but it might just be because i'm used to clear skin...

if it is just plain acne due to hormonal fluctuation you could just use any benzoyl peroxide product to tame it even though it's been a few months maybe your body is still trying to adjust to the changes it's been through....here's an interesting link i read over...a lot of technical stuff and it seems to refer to women but the hormonal causes could be the same thing for men..i'll cut and paste the passage i am referring to in case you have trouble accessing the site.....

it goes on to talk about treatments...benzoyl peroxide, topical antibiotics, retinoids like retin-a....which works great, i'm on it...if you have insurance you could go with the retin -a
