    Random usage of supps OK - or ed a must

    For example: I bought some MSM powder a while ago. I bought it for my joints, and I also know that it helps with hair, skin and nail health. I think I have noticed some results, but its hard to tell.
    My question is - If you slack off with taking a supp like MSM every day, and make it about once a week, can you still derive some benefit from taking it randomly?
    It must depend on the supp, but I've been curious about this random usage with respect to other supps like B complex, and antioxidants.

    The old-timers like Vince Gironda used to recommend laying off the supps a couple days a week to "rest" the digestive system. Some stuff, like MSM, it seems logical that you could slack off and just experiment to find a "maintenance dose" after the initial joint problems (or whatever) subside.

    I only take fat soulable vitamins and minerals every other to every few days, but the water soulable I take sometimes several times a day based on several factors.

    MSM or an uneccessary supps as such can be taken whenever.
