Does Glutamine actually effective when taken with a lot of protein or is it just another supplement to waste money on?

I don't buy glutamine cuz my protein shake profile has more than enough glutamine in it.

Glutamine doesn't need to be taken with protein for it to be absorbed or for it to be absorbed better. Glutamine is technically a partial protein, because it is one of the amino acids needed to make a protein.
Glutamine is kinda tricky, because some kinds of glutamine are used in the digestive tract and never make it into the body.
I drink Juven and that has glutamine in it. Glutamine isn't the main ingredient, but it works pretty well.
