potassium
I went to buy potassium this weekend and i noticed that the vitamins that you buy only have 3% DV and the suggested dose is just one pill a day. How are you supposed to get 100% DV when the concentrated vitamin only gives you 3%?

well either no one cares, or no one knows. Either way here is what i found on potassium:
Most people get the daily amount of potassium that is recommended. The FDA places the RDV at 3500mg a day. Getting 2000mg a day is considered enough however. Potassium is an electrolyte just like sodium and chloride. Potassium plays a major role in balancing the body's fluids, aids in nerve impulse transmission, and helps muscles contract. Some good sources of potassium are 2/3 cup of seedless raisens (751 mg), Minute maid OJ (450mg), medium banana (451 mg).

Actually the ODI (Optimum Daily Intake) is 3500g. The RDI (Recommended Daily Intake i.e. FDA) is only 99mg. How much is in your vitamin?

F*ck the daily values. It all depends on what your goals are. If its to stop cramping from clen then you need at least 500 mg/ED...

Im taking summer skool for chemestry, I think they have some elemental potassium (K) in the lab. Can I munch on that? (Keeping in mind that it will blow up if it comes into contact with hydrogen and/or water.)

The daily balanced meal is LITERALLY a spoonful of fruit. A spoonful of vegies and such. You would think that when they say a complete balanced meal that it would add up to like a plate full of food. NOPE. I never went with the FDA guidelines or any of that crap. It is to make those lazy ass people feel good that they got a complete meal for the day with all the food groups.

well should i not even worry about taking potassium then, bc the only reason i was taking it was because of how it helps control the water inside of your cells. And since i take creatine i thought that it might be beneficial to take extra potassium.
