Yeah thats fine. Just dont overdo the cardio.
15-20 minutes is not nearly enough for fat burning. Lipolysis starts around 20 minutes, so you need to do at least 20 minutes, preferrably 1 hour. A brisk walk is all you need to burn fat, anything more will use muscle glycogen in the muscles being used in cardio.
what if i do a light jog, almost like a trot but i stay well within my target hr it shouldnt eat into he muscle?Quote:

Spoon, as long as your hr is in the range of 65%-75% MHR, your good to go. A brisk walk is just a fast walk, so its easy and you can do it for hours at ease if you wanted.
I betting that the military are using cardio as increasing endurance, rather than burn fat. Otherwise you would be doing 3 hour ruck walks :lol:
