Eggs...What part???
I have been eating eggs regularly for breakfast in the morning. I was reading some diets and they are eating like 7 egg whites and 1 yolk. Which part of the egg has the protein in it...the egg white or yolk??? And if it is both which has more? I know the yolk has all the fat.

Egg white 1 16.5 0.5 3.5 0
Egg yolk 1 59 0.5 2.5

Both have protein, but yokes have all the choloesterol. Most of the protein is in the whites. If you are eating eggs everyday just eat 10 whites. If heart disease runs in your family, I would definately say to eat only yokes once in a while.

I only eat about 5 egg whites in the morning, along with maybe a peanut butter on bread or something. I just can't over eat on the egg whites, feels weird.

Ya, if I over eat on the egg whites I rip ass all day long. Its hard being around girls all day long when your dieting with a high protein diet.

Each part of the egg holds approx 3gms of protein each. Every day I have 12 egg whites and 2 yolks. As above no need to total wipe out the yolk as it has good stuff in it, and beleive it or not the body requires some cholestrol.

egg yoke
egg yoke's do have a lot of fat in them, but I believe they also have important amino acids in them as written in Arnolds Encyclopedia, but eating yokes comes with the price of all the saturated fat. So, there is no right answer IMO here. I'm certinly not saying eat 12 egg yokes everyday, lets get that straight before I get flamed up the ass

My understanding is that each yolk has between 3-5gms of fat in it.
