So many darn protiens out There.. HELP

Sup guys quick question... I would like to have info on what's a good protien shake pre and post workout... I usually take in Simple carb drink post workout, I drink immidiately after I work out... Then about 30 to 45 minutes later i intake good source of protien food (TUna, etc...) So that's cool but what is a good drink to take pre??? SHould it have dextrose or maltodextrin in it?, I have a huge bucket of Dextrose here so i do'nt know what to use it with. I'm asking because i pretty much have my meals set, I just need to know what's a good Protien shake to buy, something that has L-Glutamine(for anti-catabolic help), Dextrose/Maltodextrin (Glycogen help during and post workout), I know my post post workout drink should have some type of omega 3's for the slow intake of protien. Please help

40 to 50 g. whey isolate with 75 g of dextrose or maltodextrin... pref. 25 g dex and 50 g maltodextrin post workout... eat whole food (big meal) 2 hours pre workout with about 40 g protein from a meat source...

whole food is much better than shakes any time of the day besides postworkout

dont take offense to this but when some says something like a prtein works great its funny. i find it awful hard to attribute whats working to 1 product out of the 10 things I am on including diet, sleep and exercise. you know what i am saying. when you say it works what does it do that some other proteins didnt do??

I always thought your supposed to have your 50g of protien and 60+g of Dextrose POST work out.... I purchased Zero Carb Isopure protien, it has 50g of protien.. SO what should i DO??

take 50g protien with 75g Dextorse PRE WORKOUT??
and No protien after my workout??? Seems kind of funny.. Or do i save the protien for my PPO meal?? Like chicken breast or tuna MEAL???

Please confirm because i'm about to go to the gym now

Drop the protein to 40 grams and up the dextrose to 80 grams. Pre-WO i would eat a carb/protein meal.

Basicly whey protein is a quick acting protein and stays active in the system for 2-3 hours, and caseinate protein is the long lasting protein better used for bed time to prevent catabolism

You don't want just casein before bed. You want a mixture of proteins.

If you use just casein, you will be catabolic before it kicks in. It takes time to start being absorbed, which is why it lasts longer. But in the mean time you have no protein being absorbed. This is why you want a mixture of proteins.

Understood just it sounded confusing, saying proteins. in other words a whey+casin b4 bed

I personally would use 3 proteins before bed. Whey isolate, egg white protein, micellar casein. That should work well and keep your body absorbing protein from bed time til the casein runs out.

not even a little. tastes 100% better than nitrotech nighttime. I like the taste but i got it with their special flavoring system.

you know what tastes like puke is the 100% egg white protein. so sweet and watery consistency.

Yeah, you have to get the BSL flavor system. The regular flavors are way too bland.

you have hooked me up right twice now on protein. I dont think i'll try anythign else for a while. I take the allthewhey as pwo and it tastes like a milkshake with the dextrose. and i take the trueprotein b4 bed and if i cant get eggs cooked in the morning i take the 100% whites shake.

    Who hooked you up? Me?

Any protein is going to have aminos in it, so yes.
