    HMB Dosage.

    Hey,
    I've gotten my hands on 1kg of HMB for real cheap. My mate who got the same tells me to be effective I need to take around 12grams a day. 2 in morning, 4 before workout, 4 after and 2 at night. I'd like to know whether this is excessive and has potential to damage the liver or if I should look at even a higher dosage to be as effective as possible.
    I'm using this up before stepping up to juice, just so to get use to working out and putting on as much as possible naturally.

    doses of up to 76 mg/kg/day have not shown any adverse effects in regards to the liver (and kidneys as well). i believe the typical dose is about 3 grams per day split into three doses. if i remember correctly, in persons over 200 lbs, doses of 5 to 6 grams/day are recommended. can someone clarify this if i'm incorrect?

    i believe those are the doses that have actually been used in clinical studies with positive results. as to whether doses of up to 12 grams have been used is unknown to me. i would imagine doses that high may just be affecting your wallet more than your muscles.

    3 grams right before bed yeilds the best results.
