I believe overnight is okay. But would require to drink pretty early. I know there are some concerns depending on the type of protein used. But I cannot find my readings. Its a good question

it will be okay but from my experiance if you let protein drinks sit to long they get real thick and taste nasty,

It depends on the type of protein. To be on the safe side, it's best to mix and drink instead of mix and store. Especially with milk. Once again, depends on the type of milk you're talking about. Milk has enzymes in it, some more than others, and those enzymes can break down the protein quicker than if you just mixed it in water. So all in all, it's not worth the risk.

so does this mean that the protiens are broken down into their amino acids(which saves your digestive system the work), or does it turn them into compounds that are useless??

It really depends on the protein source. Pretty much all of the time, it's going to just make it useless.

I actually can't think of any case that it would actually work out, but I say almost every time just in case there's one I don't know about.

Get some sports bottles put your protein powder in at night then when you get up in the morning add a little milk then and take it with... just shake it up to mix, no stirring necessary and just as quick without having to leave it sit and risk loss or the gross buildup you can get from letting it sit.

That's a good idea. That's how I travel with my protein. But I mix mine with water. I can get water from anywhere and just pour it into the bottle. I drink a lot of Gatorade, so I try to keep two of those bottles handy. The neck is nice and wide, so it's easy to get the powder into them.

I usually drink with water too, except my morning shake I have with low carb milk half the time. Or sometimes I feel the need to get fancy and I mix in Crystal Light, but usually i'm good with just water.

Crystal Lite really is just water. It doesn't really ad much to the water.

    Nutrition wise... No it doesn't.

Flavor wise... Can make a big difference when you are tired of the flavor protein you have

I've never tasted it. But I did read the label once. It didn't list any nutitional values for anything. It was like it was just water.
