i read somewhere that glutamine is best taken through out the day in small amounts. but i couldn't find that article. can anyone outline a good way to use glutamine?

hmm is glutamine a free-form acid? read up somemore on the boards and faced with this juven thing.. and they say betagen is better since arginine is a free form amino acid. well i'd go for betagen if glutamine is not a free form amino acid .. thoughts?
You can take glutamine in free form or bound to something else. If you take it free form, it's best to take a large amount at one time to bombard the receptors, because most free form glutamine is used in the digestive tract and will never make it into the blood if you only take a small dose.
In Juven, the glutamine isn't free form, it's bound to the other aminos which makes it a partial protein, and not a free form amino any more, so everything is able to pass the digestive system. I personally use Juven with very good results.
well I always take some in added to protein shakes but the best way that ive learned is right before bed to up your gh output and keep your muscles from sparring while sleep a way to help more absorb if using free form is to take with a carbonated beverage
The only problem with that is the fact that most carbinated drinks are high in simple sugars.
so would betagen be a good choice?
I think Juven is the best choice.
