    creatine for muscle growth?

we all know how creatine gives you good strength gains, but does it help MUSCLE growth? the way i see it, it give strength gains at the cost of water retention and that's it. any opinions?

If your putting up more weight your muscle will get bigger. More stress on muscles means they need to grow more.

It helps muscle to grow by providing more energy for the muscles (allows ADP to take a phosphate from the creatine phosphate that your body converts creatine into and turns it into ATP again).

It draws in more water towards the muscles, which the muscles also needs in order to function better.

You can simply take a diuretic in order to lessen the bloating associated with creatine supplimentation.

but regarding the use of creatine, how long should we be on it? i know we have to cycle it off, else it won't be half as effective

It's not that it isn't as effective, you just don't notice the gains after a while because its subtle. You do not adapt to creatine.

i don't get it, if we can notice the gains at first, but not a while later, doesn't it signify that the body is adapting to it?

All creatine does that you notice is retain water which in turn helps you put up more weight when lifting. After you've retained your max amount of water you can't go any farther. Like why big meat eaters always say they are non-responders to creatine... Yeah no sh!t, cuz you ingest alot of creatine already from your diet.
