    dextrose info

i would be really glad if someone could clarify some things. Dextrose and maltodextrin, i know its sugar and i should take it in my protein-shake but should i use both? 50/50 and what does it actually do?
and what time in the day do you take it?

I like maltodextrin and micellar protein in a shake before working out. PWO shake, for me at least, is always ~80 grams dextrose and ~40 grams of whey protein. You want slower macro's to keep anabolic during your workout, and you need have very fast releasing macro's in your PWO exhausted state.

I just read though on another thread today that maltodextrin and dextrose work just as fast, even though malto is complex and dex is not.
    now i'm confused.

maltodectrin is meant to be a complex carbohydrate and dextrose is a simple carb.
but the complexity of the chains of sugars can vary between different brands of maltodextrin.
