trying to see what people have to say about it, a friend of mine swears by it but i think maybe he just pumps himself up and thinks its doing something.

no it definately works, try it before you buy it though
when i took it i had outrageous pumps even when i wasnt working out, my skin around my forearms was real tight and and had vascular and biceps were really pumped too. It gave me leg cramps though i dont think i was getting enough water it reccomends like 64 oz a day.
Save your money bro
Its arginine.
Ive never tried just straight arginine. Does it work? When i order NO though i get the cheapest i can get cause its all the same thing.
The active ingredient is arginine. So everytime you've tried the cheapest NO stimulator you've tried straight arginine. Its just jacked up in price.
Actually it is timed release arginine. But still it is a waste of money. It did nothing for me when I tried it. But if I were you, I'd just take arginine throughout the day instead of spending about 10 times the price for that crap.
I had great results with vasostat by Cytosport. Pretty cheap too if you order it online, but the bad part is unless you feel like taking it throughout the day you wont get the "perpetual pump" as some people talk about. Take it with a fairly large snack too, I have thrown up at the gym several times from taking it right before w/out food.
my bro got ahold of some aakg for real cheap, like 10$. ever since he has started taking it he is sore in the bodypart we worked. ex: tuesday is back day and wednesday he was complaining about soreness. before the aakg there was no complaining or soreness.(there was always a little but nothing like this) also he did not go up in weight that day so i would have to say it is having an effect on him.
Most N.O. products absolutely work as far as great pumps, vascular no doubt about it. However there is no lasting effect or gain once you stop taking it.Quote:

What exactly does the akg stand for?
Arginine is now legel in Canada so I've been stocking up. I love the stuff. Crazy pumps, that's about it.

What do you mean? Arginine is an amino acid. IF you mean amino acid tabs, they will not have the same affect A AKG hasQuote:

Arginine isn't very abundant in most amino acid pills.
why dont you guys just up the protein to 300-500 grams of protein a day and get arginine from food.Quote:

one azzhole even went as far as claiming no2 gives the same effects of steroids, shouldnt that send up a red flag???????
yoo im a newbie but i took no2 over the summer and it worked amazing for me, i dont know alot about supps but after reading this im thinkng about just buying the arginie, i def did not make a big gain but the pumps were awsome..no2 ripped my ass off
ripped off money wise that is, ha
arginine in protein and A AKG/citrulline are completely different as far as affects.
i doubt itQuote:

their is 480 mg's of arginine in 1 scoop of protein from On optimum whey. i take 3 scoops a day. right their, i think that is much much more than half the dose of no2. since meats are complete proteins, their must be arginine in meats. i eat an ass load of meats a day. with whey + diet, i probably get double the dose of n02 daily, and who knows, could be more. and you guys are paying an extra ass load of money that bull****.
Why would you doubt the idea of arginine having different effects than arginine alphaketogluterate? Does test e act the same as test prop? Or does 1-test have the same effects as methyl-1-test? How about dbol(methyl-boldenone) and equipoise (boldenone). The answer to all of these questions is NO. When you add a functional group to almost any compound the physiological effects of the compound change, some more than others. So don't doubt a general rule of organinc chemistry & functional physiology.Quote:

ok, take 5g of arginine before a workout, then try 5g of A AKG.Quote:
