r-ALA and biotin

I'm having 100 mgX3 a day r-ALA. How much biotin (vitamin H) should I take ?

1mg 3 x per day.

As a general rule, use 1 mg of biotin for every 100 mg of r-ala. Or use glucophase, it has both in the same capsule.

Although clinical deficiency is rare, subclinical biotin deficiency may be quite common. Studies in animals are finding that the optimal amount for health may be well above that needed to just alleviate classical deficiency symptoms [1]. Suboptimal biotin intake or a marginal deficiency may impair leucine metabolism, affect insulin sensitivity, and increase the risk of birth defects [1, 2, 5-6]. It is also important to note that two common supplements, alpha lipoic acid (ALA) and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), may both compete with biotin. your dosage should be based on your meals. 100mg ala per 40-50g carbs. 1mg biotin per 100mg r-ala.

100 mg ALA or 100 mg R-ALA ?

same i think.. and 1000 mcg = mg?
