Ok I got some of the powdered gultamine and I mix it with my protein shakes....My question is whenis the best time to take it before or after workouts and how many time a day should I take it.

I would take 5g before your workout and 5g after your work out, and on days you dont work out take 5g in the morning right when you get up.

your protein shake probrably has glutaminein it already, so you're wasting it mixing it with yoru protein. others here take it before their morinning cardio to prevent catabolism.
take it prior to cardio and lifting. leave it out of your shakes. it will last you longer.

The glutamine in the shakes is good enough. There is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that oral supplementation of L-Glutamine does anything at all in healthy adults in training. The only reason why glutamine is used is because it prevented muscle breakdown in bed-ridden ill people. It has been tested multiple times in resistance training groups and has not been found to have any effects.
