What are the benefits in supplementing with Dextrose?

Guys:

Can someone explain to me the main benefits of supplementing with DEXTROSE post-work out? I've done a few searches and I'm not finding too much information on its benefits.

insulin spike

supposedly its better than reg white storebot sucrose for aiding in protein sythesis
even though its all about getting bloodsugar up to norm for immediate muscle reconstruction

Dextrose is better than sucrose for getting blood-glucose levels up, seeing as how dextrose is essentially the same thing as glucose and sucrose is not. Dextrose is used PWO along with protein for many reasons, the main reasons are: you need to restore muscle glycogen and pwo is the best time to do it, and you create an insulin spike which helps shuttle nutrients to the depleted muscles recently worked.
