    SUGAR FREE JELLY or JELLO?

I posted a question about cheap protiens recently and someone had mentioned that SUGAR FREE JELLY WITH GELATIN has 40grams of protien in it. I have never heard of that before and I can't find it around here. So I was wondering if he mis-spelled it and meant JELL-O. Does anyone know anything about this?

Ok it is actually under "Diet Questions". It is about half way down titled, "Low Priced Protien Sources". And the last post was on 3/27/02.

    Cool post xenithon,
Jeezzz, I got all excited for a second there. Jelly with 50 grams of protien, the answer to my dreams. ( Well one of them anyway) But Jello is just as good I guess.

I looked at the store yesterday. I checked jello, sugar free jello, and jello pudding and all had 1 to 2 grams each. So what has 56 grams of protein?

like i stated many times before :

it must be gelatin based jelly. a lot of jelly nowadays is based on alternate setting agents which have 0 protein in them.

Yes, there is a difference between Jell-O and Jelly.
So, where will we find 56 grams of protein? In a gelatin based jelly or a jell-o?

Not trying to be difficult here, just trying to clear this up!

yup xzoomzx. at least u get it

if it has gelatin base (which is a protein) then its high in protein. sorry to tell u but jelly, jello et.c is all the same crap, just named different cause of the trading laws wherever u are living. jelly is anything which sets!! if it is gelatin based then its high in protein, no matter what its called

Ok, thanks for explaining... My bad for offending you xenithon. It was not my intention! I just haven't found either a jelly or a jello with 56 grams of protein.

I must have been confused.... Because I wouldn't put Jell-o on my peanut butter and jelly sandwich.... nor would I sit down to a nice bowl of jelly....

no probs, no offense taken hehe. its just I know that especially in america (no flame to u guys ) there can be a billion names for the same thing - part of branding strategies or something (cant remember what i learned in economics). thats another reason why reading labels and ingredients is suprememly important
