    Crash course needed

I have been out of the supplement game for a little while and am a newb when it comes to this nitrogen retention thing and other forms of creatine and what not.

What do you guys/gals like for the following

    Post work out shake protein....?
    Creatine....?
    Nitrogen thing...?

I am currently taking HMB, and protein.

I take ALA, R-ALA and proteing with carbs after my workout.

Solid Whey protein with 75g's of dextrose. i don't use creatine or nitrogen crap. waste of money IMO. proper diet will get you almost everything you need. i take protein, and glutamine and a multi vitamin. creatine has it's purposes, but i don't like the water retention, so i don't use it.

ALA isn't nearly as effective as R-ALA IMO. Do some research and learn what works and what doesn't. PWO shake is absolutely necessary. Creatine ethyl ester will surely help increase strength. Not sure what nitrogen retention thing your referring to, but NO stimulators don't do anything to increase size or strength. HMB is only effective IMO for cutting to maintain muscle mass.

correct me if I am wrong , but using R-ALA or ALA in post work out will mimick insulin and reduce your insulin spike. Kind of defeating the purpose of spiking your insulin levels and shuttling nutrients into the cells.

k-r-ala is definitely one of the "in" supplements now. It wont polymerize. I have not tried it personally, but I know of people who never subjectively felt anything from r-ala, but feel a big difference with k-r-ala.
