Anyone ever heard of papaya enzymes?
Bodybuilder friend of mine told me to start taking these, he said to get them from walmart. Their suppose to help with protein digestion or something.

From what I heard,(and by heard I mean didn't actually look u so I don't know if it's 100% correct) That the papaya enzymes help to break protein down quicker so absorbtion starts faster and your muscles get it quicker. Like I said just what I heard but I hope this helps.

I think there is some misunderstanding. Papaya enzymes can be used as a meat tenderizer. But your body needs no assistance from papaya enzymes to digest protein. Now, if you are thinking you are a bit on the gaseous side, there are some things you can do.
Beano works on, well, let me think.... beans?
but seriously, if you are gaseous from your protein powder, as many of us are, you should try whey isolate. yes, it is expensive. but no gas, at least for me. PM me and i will send you a link for $8/lb delivered.

Papaya enzyme helps break down food in the gut. It's a digestive aid. I don't know if it helps in the metabolism of protein and carbs like B6, though.
I used to give papaya enzyme to my pet rabbit to help break down fur balls in his gut (rabbits cannot expel them like cats, so they lead to life-threatening intestinal blockages). They taste good.
