Definately Lasix, also known as Furosemide. It's used in hospitals for people who have ingested alot of toxins, to excrete toxins before they become active in the bloodstream. It's what the pro BBer's use to dry out before contests. You have to be careful though cause you can kill yourself with it if you don't know how to use it. Mohammed Benazziza died after winning a grand prix in 1985 because of lasix.
is lasix also a bp med because my doc said if it dosent come down before i come back in she will put me on lasix
i guess it could be.....excess water can cause blood pressure to raise....
nsa will know
Lasix is used in the treatment of high blood pressure and other conditions that require the elimination of excess fluid (water) from the body. These conditions include congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and kidney disease. When used to treat high blood pressure, Lasix is effective alone or in combination with other high blood pressure medications. Diuretics help your body produce and eliminate more urine, which helps lower blood pressure. Lasix is classified as a "loop diuretic" because of its point of action in the kidneys.

Yeah it is also used for BP issues, but its def not the first thing i would prescribe to alleviate high BP. There are alot safer things to use, although they won't make insurance and pharm companies any money, like hawthorne berry extract.Quote:

Almost every OTC diuretic loses its effectiveness after the first use. But for an OTC diuretic, Taraxatone is pretty good, i think its made my the same company that produced xenadrine back in the day.
