Any pills to carry to avoid catabolism during work?

    Im a waiter...

New restaurant im starting at is much different frmo my old one where we slacked and had all the time in the world for our own stuff.

At this one I wont be able to make protein shakes whenever I please...

Are there any pills that can help me avoid a protein breakdown during my 6 hour shifts? I dont expect miracle pills here, but something that can help me out a little....

yeah, maybe just pop some BCAAs or something a couple times. 3-6g per dose sounds decent.

I think Casein is supposed to last up to 5 hours in the bloodstream. A couple servings before your shift may help you stay in an anti-catabolic state. Good luck bro. (Sorry pump, didn't check your link. Looks like I just said the same thing I did without a URL)

Caseine doesn't stay in the blood stream any longer than any other protein would. It digests slower than other proteins, thus slowly releasing the protein into the blood stream. Don't believe all the claims that it lasts for up to 7-12 hours though.

I like to drink Juven. One in the morning and one at night and thats enough to prevent catabolism all day long.

You get it from a pharmacy. It is OTC, but you probably have to special order it.
