    Dextrose

    Hi guys. Just wanted to make sure.

    I just bought some dextrose. It says 1 scoop = 10 g of dex.
    So if I need to take twice as much as i take protein it would be 120g of dex.
    Its 12 scoops ! I made that shake... sweet like a mother****. Does it supose to be like that ? 12 scoops ?

    How much do you weigh? Thats alot of protein and chances are your not absorbing all of that in one sitting...

    NSA are small amounts of Malto dextrine ( say 10-15 grams) pre workout of use?

    theory is that small amount fo carbohydrates pre workout actually AID in more fat burning since its a key in the biological process

    I am unsure though

    Are you talking about pre-anaerobic workout or pre-aerobic workout?

    Anaerobic exercise uses glycogen, not fat for fuel. I always recommend some carbs before anaerobic workouts, maltodextrin would be good and i like to drink gatorade during my workouts for fast carbs and electrolytes to replenish what you sweat out...

    I doubt your body is absorbing all of that protein in a single sitting. Most people can only absorb 30-50 grams of protein in one sitting, the rest just gets excreted...

    hell yea...120grms of dextrose in a single dose is TOO MUCH bro!! U need 25-30 grms of protein after your workout and u must add maybe 40 grms of dextrose in order to peak your insulin levels.

    u need to obtain about .20% protien of ur body weight after working out so in ur case u should be intaking around 45g of protien after workout and about 90g dex

    Got ya... I wanted to make sure.. because I never used dextrose before so 10 scoops of dex per shake was a lot. But if thats the way to take it...
    Also.. can I mix my whey protein with dex in one shake ?

    Thats how most do it, i can't imagine a pure water and dextrose shake, that would be weird...
