    Dextrose Substitute...

    Hey guys,

    I forgot to pack 50 g of dex with me to work. So I need a substitute just for today (I already have my protein powder with me, though) after my back/bis/oblique workout.

    What do you think is the best substitute?

    I heard Sweet Tarts are. How effective are they? How much should I eat. When should I eat them? After I down my shake or before? Thanks guys. I pretty mad at myself right now for forgetting my dex.

    A stick of sweet tarts is actually pretty decent for a substitute. Eat a stick of em right before or as your drinking your PWO shake. BTW, look at the ingredients of sweet tarts, i might be wrong but i think the main ingredients are dextrose and maltodextrin...

    1 stick, huh? Sweet (literally and figuratively)

    Yeah man, I heard dex, malto, and citric acid are the ingredients...

    Might be 2 sticks i dunno exactly. Depends on how many grams of carbs are in each stick and how many grams of protein your ingesting PWO, so i dunno. You would have to figure it out yourself, shouldn't be hard...

    it should be pretty easy to figure out how much by looking at the ingredient panel (carbohydrates). It does not need to be exactly 50g's. A little more or less (to preference) should be fine.

    Thanks guys. I've calculated that 28 sweet tarts will do the job. I'll down those first to spike my insulin levels. Then I'll down my protein shake (25g pro) to finish it off.

    BTW, Macrophage--thanks for all of your advice in regards to Glucorell-R, Lev, and T-Rex. That combo, along with a sound diet, workout plan, a little bit of cardio, a nice heavy cheat day, and this damn hot weather is doing wonders--and it's only been a week and half. Thanks man
