Drinking soda after workout for sugar???
I recently read an article, I forget which magazine, that said drinking a can of soda after a workout is good to have to replenish glycogen levels.
Is it better to take dextrose or can soda be an ok substitute for a post workout drink?
I want to drop some bodyfat so should I skip the sugars after a workout, or is that the only time during the day when it is necessary to have sugars??

dextrose is better. there are no preservatives in it..

drinking soda is NEVER good for you, no matter what. It may be better than absolutely nothing, maybe, but there are so many better ideas.
From the research Ive done, it seems the simplest way to get those sugars back is dextrose and some creatine mono. In fact just got 10lbs of dextrose and 1000gs of creatine mono. Look for thread on making your own cel tech for proportions

Lowfat Chocolate Milk is a great substitute if you don't have a good PWO shake. When I am on the road this is what I use.

Stick with the program and ditch the soda idea, use dex for the PWO carbs.
