    Slowing digestion of whey

    Can flaxseed oil do this?

    I'm thinking for my last shake of the day, right before bed. I understsand whey is too rapidly digested to be of much use on it's own at this stage.

    If it does, where can I get it and what is it?

    Yeah eating carbs and fats with it (esp fats) will slow digestion. Casein and egg protein would be better suited before sleep as these digest slower.

    Yes, flax will help slow the digestion process. I wouldn't make a flax/whey/carb shake though. I used to make a shake before bed with flax in it, but have since been eating cottage cheese before bed and much prefer that. I wake up feeling more full and I don't have to get up to pee every few hours.

    LOL - know that feeling. Creatine+2gal h20/day+late night multivit = night pees!!

    just eat low fat cottage cheese, or get some nitro-tech night time.

    Flax will not slow the digestion, nor will any liquid form of fat.

    Thanks all - cottage cheese now top of my supermarket shopping list.

    I should have thought of that first - always best to go with food first and supplements second.

    Just hope I don't get bad dreams cos my momma took my teddybear...

    yeah, whey before bed makes me wet the bed! I feel like such a loser when i do that
    Its always the same damn dream. Im standing in front of a toilet or urinal in the dream....
