    Carb supps

    Ight well, there are tons of creatine and protein supps. but are there any carb supps? and i mean with low sugar intake. it's hard for me to by the ammount of food that i want to intake in a day due to the fact that i'm a poor college kid. so please if anybody knows of a good carb supplement, plz lemme know.

    Oatmeal brotha. Ground that shit up in a coffee grinder or food processor and add to your shakes, it ain't half bad either.

    dextrose- for post workout- can be found at any local beer store- for between .75-1.25$/lb

    dextrose... i work beside a liquor store... i'll go there today

    thanx guys

    is there anything out on the market that i can get though like a creatine type supplementation... like carbs in a jug... haha

    that is what the dextrose is for (dextrose is pure glucose)- its the main carb in most creatine powder products

    (sugar is sucrose, which is half fructose and half glucose)

    it will need to be a BEER BREWING store, a regular liqour store probably wont carry

    you could buy some medium chain complex carbs and it cost 20$ can.for 2.2 pound.

    thats a bit pricey for glucose polymers, aka maltodextrin (also available quite cheap at your local zymurgy (beer brewing) store)

    I personally wouldn't be drinking dex all day long unless it was PWO.

    glucose is actually rather well tolerated, its too much fructose (with other carbs present) that is the root of most problems. the increased use of HFCS and hydrogenated oils(insulin sensitivity suppresor) is directly linked to the rise of diabetes in the united states.
