    DHEA study

Just thought this info might be of interest:

During DHEA treatment a significant increase was seen in DHEA-S concentration, 4-androstenedione concentrations and in IGF-I as compared with placebo and with baseline...No alterations were observed in plasma cortisol and ACTH levels, testosterone, SHBG, 17beta-oestradiol, LH and TSH levels between DHEA, placebo and baseline.
Assies, J., Haverkort, E., Lieverse, R., and Vreken, P. (2003). Effect of dehydroepiandrosterone supplementation on fatty acid and hormone levels in patients with X-linked adrenoleucodystrophy. Clinical Endocrinolgoy, 59 459-466.

And no I did not copy and paste this, I read the journal and typed it for you guys. Hope it was worth my time.

I would say DHEA supplementation is next to worthless, at least for testosterone increases.
