    ALA

    Hi all,

    I have decided to start ALA. I am currently 175lbs, trying to lean out (add muscle, slowly is fine, but no fat, trying to decrease bf). I was told by many to start ALA. I currently get about 125g carbs per day, split into 5 meals of 25g each meal, last 2 meals = no carbs (last carb meal at around 7pm, i sleep at about 12pm). I just wanted to know then:

    1. how much ALA should I start off with?
    2. should I taper ALA, or just run @ fixed dosage
    3. should I cycle ALA, like 2 weeks on 2 off, or can i use it continually
    4. should I keep my carbs at that level if I add ALA?

    your carbs seem fine to me, you can even taken in more if you like as ALA is a good nutrient partitioner

    What is more cost/effective? ALA in capsule form or powder?

    what do you want all that ALA for I heard it is only effective for people with diabetes.

    I took ALA in a large does 1000mg+ and noticed a difference, I took it for 2.5 weeks and gained 5lbs and very little bodyfat. I am not one to endorse bogus supplements, I've been around the block and I know the difference between the placebo and the real deal and ALA when taken in a large enough dose is the real deal.
