    stupid question?

if you were to take creatine and a thermogenic like xenadrine at the same time, would they canel each other out...so to speak? Or would they both still have their effects. It seems to me that while retaining water weight through creatine, xenadrine would rid of it, thus defeating the purpose?

I havent seen any research on ephedra with creatine, but I have seen that Caffeine cancels the creatine. And with ECA stacks you have lots of caffeine. Of course, you might still get benefit because rather than be dehydrated with caffeine the creatine makes you more "normal". Also, creatine doesnt just volumize your muscle cells, but also saturates your muscles with a pool of creatine for energy. SO that may also still be there.

Long story short: Caffeing reduces creatine effectiveness, but probably not all the way

    How about this:
Both can still be used effectively but at different
times of the day. Use the Xenadrine for the morning and mid-afternoon
parts of the day. As soon as you are finished with your workout, use the
creatine. Creatine is most effective immediately after the workout anyway.
They will not cancel each other out if used at separate times of the day.
Just make sure to drink plenty of water. Creatine holds water inside the
muscles which give it the "volumized" effect. The caffeine that is in
Xenadrine is a diuretic but it won't deplete the muscle of that much water.
I think the caffeine will reduce more of the water retained between the
    muscle and the skin.

I dont konw the clearance rates of creatine and caffeine, but so taking at differnect times of the day may help. In the reference that I have, the caffeine reduces the performance enhancement of creatine pretty remarkably. There is still a rise in phosphocreatine levels and some cell volumizing, just no performance enhancement.
