Don't need to take it at all, if you are whatever amounts you do take will be fine as regular old glutamine is pretty much worthless.
explain?
im taking ti with about the same amount of bcaas before and after workout btw
Because if you are consuming enough protein, which I'm assuming you are. Glutamine is worthless you have more than enough present. Not to mention that there are literally 100's of studies that show Oral Glutamine is a waste. IV Glutamine is a much different story.
Although glumatine levels are down by 60% after an intense workout, if you are consuming enough protein, I believe there is probably enough glutamine in the protein like Giantz said. It doesn't matter that glutamine is the primary source of amino acids in muscle protein. It will only benefit those with an insufficient protein intake, and there again its likely they are also training incorrectly so it will have little effect after all.
5 g of glutamine is nothing compared to 200-250 g of protein. A large portion of that 250 will be glutamine anyway
10g a day seperated into 2
5g pre am cardio and 5g any other time during the day but not pwo.
mg? you mean gQuote:

If you are going to take it dont mix it with the protein. I ave ready a bunch of threads explaining that it prevents a lot of protein absorption. I wouldn't bother though, you get plenty from the protein you will be getting.
so hypothetically, lets say ive already ordered it and when it comes i would like to try it anyway. does this sound good?
5g glutamine + 5g bcaa when i wake up, maybe with my oats
5g glutamine + 5g bcaa right before workout
what about rest days?
yes mate sounds dead on looks pritty similar to mine...Quote:

Question:- what advantage do BCAAs have over regular amino acid products...i know that BCAAs are essential...Does this mean they are used more efficently?????
15 - 20 grams split morning and night
but you should not consume any food or protein shakes before cardio in the morning which is why i supplement with 5 grams of glutamine and 5 grams of BCAA's before cardio. i really do notice a difference believe it or not when i take it...i dont flatten out as much and muscles stay hard when dieting down. supplementing with BCAAs and glutamine, especially before intense exercise, was shown to reduce cortisol levels and thus prevent protein muscle breakdown in one study. i also take 5 grams of glutamine and 5 grams of bcaas preworkout.Quote:
