    Musclemilk for nighttime protien, B4 bed??

    Hi I have 3 tubs of muscle milk and was wondering if it would be better to use it as a before bed protien than an after workout and thru the day protien shake?? I also have a tub of solid whey and ON whey...>>> I was thinking to use those with water and ice for after workout shakes and morning/afternoon... than the musclemilk with some flax oil for before bed what do ya think?????????????

    Whey protien is good for quick absorption.
    Casein is good for night time.

    I drink it before bed every night, but I buy the pre-mixed. I just can't get the mix to taste the same.

    You don't want to drink it for a post w/o shake becasue it is high in fat. Even if it's good fat, if your insulin levels are high which they should be post w/o, the fat's are going to be stored as just that. Since it's lower in carbs it makes more sense to me to take it before bed.

    I take it almost every night before bed. I dont take it everynight just b/c I'm not a big fan of Canola oil. Don't want to over do it...............

    i switch it up between muscle milk and casein, but mm tastes way better.

    stuff had to muc fat ... i eat a few chicken brests, egg whites, tuna .. food is the best

    To my knowledge (which may be wrong), Muscle Milk is high in fat and calories. So before bed would just settle in as unwanted fat throughout the night.

    Before bed I eat a bowl of cottage cheese with yogurt (for taste).
    Casein so digest nice and slowely.

    Eating fat before nighttime does not mean it will store as fat.

    I'd rather eat a solid meal (pro/fat) before bed then drink a shake. A shake is quickly absorbed and a meal would last you throughout the night without being absored as fast.
