    Protein shakes

Is it okay to mix a protein shake or weightgainer but not drink it for about 3 hours? I want to make my shake in the morning before I leave home and drink it 3 hours later for meal #2. Just wondering if the protein or anything else is affected by being liquid for an extended period of time.

Wait, do you mean it's not okay to mix ahead of time or that no it doesn't make a difference?
